The story begins in 2009 with our parent retail brand, ScreenProtector.co.uk — one of the first UK e-commerce sites focused exclusively on screen protection. We started selling tempered glass and film protectors for the iPhone 3G, the original Galaxy S, and a long list of devices most people have forgotten now exist.
By 2013 it became obvious that businesses kept emailing us with requests we couldn't fulfil through retail: "we need 5,000 protectors for our hospital tablet rollout," "can you do custom dimensions for our POS terminals," "we want our logo printed on the packaging." Each request was a custom job. None fitted standard retail. So we span up CustomScreenProtectors.com as a separate B2B brand to handle the manufacturing side properly — with proper QC, proper tooling, proper supply-chain discipline.
That was twelve years ago. Today, our two brands together have shipped over twelve million units of screen protection across more than 40 countries. The retail brand serves consumers; the B2B brand serves businesses. The shared experience between them — particularly around what works in real-world use — is something newer specialist competitors can't easily match.
